I can relate to this so much. I encounter emotional abandonment regularly in friendships too. It is indeed a pain that burns you alive and causes deep shame and a questioning of your worth and sanity. I agree that the solution is validating your own self-worth. In doing so, we learn to only accept those who truly value us in every season of life, good times and bad for all parties involved. I am still working on that last part, but I know that mastering this is the key to my emotional freedom and inner peace. Thank you for posting this. :)
